Lucy Engelman is an illustrator raised in the Midwest living in Pittsburgh, PA. Her work has appeared in magazines and books and often beyond the printed page through collaborations with chefs and farmers, apparel, home goods and filling rooms with custom wallpapers.

She has had the opportunity to speak at several universities in the US as well as at Creative Mornings Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She started a professional illustration group called The Illustration League with illustrator/designer Michael Nykamp in 2014.

She has illustrated for over twenty published titles and hopes to author and illustrate her own books.

Lucy illustrates surrounded by her wiggly giggly bookworm daughter, a wise often napping shepherd mix, and a collection of robust house plants. She is easily tempted by the world outside her studio and can be regularly found in the fresh air.
